In a significant breakthrough, Jamshedpur police arrested a brown sugar smuggler with 90 packets of the narcotic in the Mango Daiguttu area following a tip-off.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur police arrested S Bahadur alias Thapa with 90 packets of brown sugar in a raid behind Mango Daiguttu Forest Office, as announced by DSP Bhola Prasad.
Acting on a secret tip-off about illegal narcotic sales in the area, the police conducted a raid and apprehended S Bahadur.
The accused, who has several previous cases registered against him, was found with the contraband during the raid.
S Bahadur, a resident of Shankosai Road Number 1 in the Ulidih police station area, was taken into custody for further questioning.
The police, actively conducting raids in Jamshedpur, have been cracking down on narcotics distribution networks.
The successful operation in Mango’s Daiguttu forest area on Friday led to the seizure of 97 packets of brown sugar from S Bahadur.
The police revealed the details of the arrest on Saturday, underscoring their ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the city.
