State Govt to Defend Bhuiyandih Houses in NGT

The state government of Jharkhand will present its case in the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Jamshedpur regarding the notice to demolish 150 houses located on the riverbank, including areas like Kalyan Nagar and Indranagar in Bhuiyandih.

JAMSHEDPUR – Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar met Jharkhand’s Attorney General Rajiv Ranjan on Wednesday to discuss the NGT notice to demolish 150 houses in Bhuiyandih.

The Attorney General assured that no house would be demolished, and the state government will soon file an affidavit in NGT to prevent any demolitions.

Dr. Ajoy Kumar stated that the government is sensitive to this issue and is making efforts at every level to protect the houses.

A petition has already been filed in Ranchi High Court on behalf of 150 residents of Bhuiyandih against the NGT notice.

Addressing the people of Bhuiyandih, Dr. Ajoy Kumar urged them not to be influenced by anyone and assured them that as long as the India Alliance government is in power in Jharkhand, no house in Bhuiyandih will be demolished.

He emphasized that the government is ready to fight at every level to ensure this and asked the residents to stand firmly with faith and patience.
