Santragachi-Nanded and Shalimar-Okha routes to meet increased travel demand
South Eastern Railway introduces two one-way special trains to address growing travel needs starting August 1, 2024.
JAMSHEDPUR – The South Eastern Railway has scheduled two special trains to operate from August 1, 2024, in response to rising passenger demands.
The 02768 Santragachi-Hazur Sahib Nanded Special will depart Santragachi at 00:30 hrs on August 1.
This train is set to arrive at Hazur Sahib Nanded at 06:30 hrs the following day.
Key stops for the Santragachi-Nanded special include Kharagpur, Tatanagar, and Chakradharpur.
The train will also halt at Rourkela and Jharsuguda during its journey.
Another special train, the 02906 Shalimar-Okha Special, will commence its journey at 05:00 hrs on August 1 from Shalimar.
The Shalimar-Okha train is scheduled to reach its destination at 04:00 hrs on August 3.
This special service will also stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur, and Tatanagar.
Additional halts for the Shalimar-Okha train include Chakradharpur, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda.
These one-way special trains aim to alleviate travel pressures on existing routes.
