Food Storage Facilities Face Surprise Inspections in Jamshedpur

DC orders thorough checks of State Food Corporation warehouses

Officials conduct early morning raids to verify grain stocks and assess storage conditions across East Singhbhum.

JAMSHEDPUR – In compliance with directives from the highest echelons, district authorities have conducted unannounced inspections of food storage facilities.

Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal directed the inspection of State Food Corporation warehouses in the East Singhbhum district in a surprise manner.

On Wednesday at 6 a.m., a team of officials, including Circle Officers and Block Development Officers, initiated the inspections.

The officials physically verified the inventories of rice, wheat, sugar, salt, and grams that were stored in the facilities.

A participating official stated, "We reconciled the actual stocks with the storage and stock registers at each warehouse."

Inspectors also evaluated the warehouses’ overall condition, which encompassed security measures, sanitation, and maintenance.

The Executive Magistrate of East Singhbhum was responsible for inspecting the Sakchi warehouse, while their counterpart in Dhalbhum supervised the Karandih facility.

The Executive Magistrate of Ghatshila conducted an inspection of the Gudabanda warehouse.

The District Supply Officer conducted inspections of warehouses in Burmamines, Patamda, Bodam, Dumariya, Musabani, Chakulia, and Baharagora.

The amenities in Potka and Dhalbhumgarh were subject to inspection by Circle Officers.

One of the inspection team members verified that the district administration has received a comprehensive report of our findings.

The objective of this unexpected audit is to guarantee the proper storage and administration of critical food supplies throughout the district.
