JAMSHEDPUR – Local business leaders, including, Bharat Vasani, have generally lauded the union budged and have offered insights on the latest fiscal roadmap for India.

The Union Budget 2024 has received a positive assessment from Bharat Vasani, a prominent figure in Jamshedpur’s business community.

Vasani, formerly associated with the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised the budget’s balanced approach.

The allocation of Rs 1.52 lakh crore for various schemes underscores the government’s commitment to widespread development.

"This budget addresses key constituencies while laying groundwork for long-term economic resilience," Vasani remarked.

Initiatives promoting natural farming and support for first-time employees were highlighted as significant steps.

The introduction of the "E Shram" portal is expected to revolutionize labor market dynamics and improve job matching.

Vasani commended the enhanced focus on MSMEs, including easier credit access and increased Mudra Loan limits.

The "PURVODAYA" scheme for eastern states was singled out as a crucial measure for balanced regional growth.

Reduced custom duties on certain medicines and plans to simplify personal income tax compliance were also noted.

While railways were absent from the speech, Vasani concluded that the budget sets a solid foundation for future progress.
