JAMSHEDPUR – The peaceful village of Parvatipur in Saraikela-Kharsawan district was shaken by the grim discovery of a young man’s body in a local pond.

The deceased has been identified as Birsingh Hansda, a 20-year-old resident of the village.

Authorities found the body bearing severe injury marks, with the eyes particularly damaged, suggesting a violent encounter.

Vishwanath Hansda, the victim’s younger brother, reported that Birsingh had been missing since the previous afternoon.

"We searched everywhere, even near the pond, but couldn’t find him initially," Vishwanath stated.

The body was discovered late at night in a ditch near the pond, raising questions about the circumstances of Birsingh’s death.

Family members claim that Birsingh had no known enemies and led a quiet life, commuting between work and home.

"He didn’t have any conflicts with anyone. This is shocking for all of us," a relative reportedly said.

RIT Police Station officers have arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the mysterious death.

The incident has sparked fear and concern among local residents, who are calling for a thorough inquiry and increased security measures in the area.
