Jamshedpur’s Marwari Mahila Manch prepares for its 35th annual Rakhi fair, a three-day exhibition and sale event, promoting women’s entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur branch of Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) is set to organize its yearly Rakhi fair at Tulsi Bhawan, Bistupur, from July 22 to July 24.

The three-day exhibition and sale event will operate from 11 am to 9 pm daily, featuring approximately 50 stalls showcasing a variety of products.

SDO Parul Singh will inaugurate the fair on Monday, July 22, at 4 pm, marking the commencement of this eagerly anticipated community event.

"Our annual Rakhi fair has become a cherished tradition, empowering women entrepreneurs for 35 years now," stated Rani Agarwal, President of the MMM Jamshedpur branch.

The fair will offer a diverse range of items, including Rakhis, gift articles, bed linens, and traditional attire for Laddu Gopal idols.

Visitors can also explore a selection of sarees, kurtis, and home decor items, alongside handmade household products like pickles and papads.

Meena Agarwal, Secretary of the organization, added, "We’ve ensured that high-quality, handcrafted items are available at reasonable prices, supporting both local artisans and consumers."

The event aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship and self-reliance, providing a platform for showcasing and selling their creations.

This long-standing fair has been instrumental in fostering economic independence among women in the community for over three decades.

The organizers have completed all necessary preparations, anticipating a successful event that will benefit both vendors and visitors alike.
