JAMSHEDPUR – The Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East celebrated World Population Day on Friday by conducting an awareness session for women at the Family Welfare Institute near Telco Plaza.
The session aimed to educate women on various population-related issues.
Former presidents Dr. Anjushree Pandit, Rama Khanna, and Dr. Meena Mukherjee discussed family planning, poverty, economic challenges, and maternal health.
They highlighted both direct and indirect methods for controlling population growth.
Dr. Pandit stated, "Educating women on family planning is crucial for sustainable development."
The event was attended by President Madhumita Sanyal, ISO PP Rama Khanna, PP Dr. Anjushree Pandit, Editor Dr. Meena Mukherjee, PP Neelima Prakash, PP Namrata Jha, Treasurer Anju Bala, and Secretary Sanchita Dey.
Participants emphasized the importance of controlling population growth for economic stability and health.
Dr. Mukherjee noted, "Awareness about the impact of overpopulation is essential for progress."
