JAMSHEDPUR – Eight teams from Tata Motors Workers Union launched an exciting three-day volleyball tournament at Telco Ground.
The inaugural day witnessed intense competition among factory units. Punch demonstrated remarkable skills on the court.
Moreover, they secured two victories in a single day. Their performance included a 2-0 win against Prima.
Meanwhile, Signa emerged successful in a thrilling encounter. They overcame Tiago’s challenge with a 2-1 score.
The Safari team also left their mark. They dominated their match against Nexon with a 2-0 victory.
Furthermore, this tournament builds on Tata Motors’ rich sporting heritage. The company has organized similar events since 1945.
Meanwhile, employee participation in sports has grown significantly. Over 2,000 workers now actively participate in various tournaments.
The event showcases the company’s commitment to worker wellness. “Sports unite our workforce and boost morale,” shared a senior union representative.
Additionally, Tata Motors maintains five professional sports facilities. These include dedicated courts for volleyball and other games.
