Karim City College Hosts Voice Artistry Session With Gautam Shankar Das
Renowned Theatre Artist Discusses Career Opportunities In Voice Acting
Students gain insights into evolving industry and voice modulation techniques.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Mass Communication Department of Karim City College recently hosted an exciting event that included a lecture and performance by the highly acclaimed theatre and voice artist, Gautam Shankar Das.
"Voice work has become an important part of different media platforms, opening up many opportunities," Das explained to students.
The session took place in the department’s shooting studio and was attended by 40 students from different semesters.
Das emphasized that anyone, regardless of their natural voice, could succeed in voice artistry with proper training.
"Voice modulation is really important not just in artistic pursuits but also in our day-to-day lives," he emphasized.
The artist beautifully portrayed the concept of Navras, expressing a wide range of emotions through the use of different characters.
Dr. Neha Tiwari, the Head of the Department, introduced Das as a highly talented drama artist from Jharkhand who has been recognized by Akashvani.
During the interactive Question Hour, students had the opportunity to ask questions about the voice acting industry.
The event showcased radio drama clips that were graciously shared by Shahid Anwar, a retired Akashvani announcer.
The college principal, Dr. Mohammad Riyaz, extended his congratulations to the department for successfully organizing the event.
