JAMSHEDPUR – The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Metallurgical Laboratory commemorated its 83rd Foundation Day, spotlighting advancements in mobility technologies.
The event took place at the NML Auditorium.
Dr. Shankar Venugopal, VP of Mahindra Research Valley, was the chief guest.
Moreover, Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, NML Director, welcomed the attendees.
The ceremony began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp.
Furthermore, Dr. Venugopal delivered the CSIR Foundation Day lecture.
He emphasized making cutting-edge technologies accessible to Indian farmers.
Meanwhile, the potential of Deep Sea Mining was discussed.
Critical materials for EV industry were highlighted in the lecture.
In addition, India’s lithium reserves of 5.9 million tons were mentioned.
Dr. Venugopal noted the 90% price drop in lithium-ion batteries over a decade.
