JAMSHEDPUR – Rajesh Sharma, who is the Secretary of Jharkhand’s Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, recently led a thorough review meeting on the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) at the Collectorate Auditorium.
"It is important to complete all projects under Jal Jeevan Mission within the given timelines," emphasized Sharma.
The meeting was attended by District Magistrate Ananya Mittal and other important officials. They discussed the progress of the scheme.
The discussions focused on topics such as FHTC coverage, multi-village schemes, and the importance of drinking water testing laboratories.
Sharma emphasized the importance of linking approved pipe water schemes to vital community facilities.
"He stated that it is important to make sure that residents do not have to deal with problems of contaminated drinking water, especially when it rains."
Officials were given instructions to promptly address issues related to the NOC through meetings of the District Coordination Committee.
The Secretary emphasized the importance of ensuring that schemes are properly publicized and that Junior Engineers are present at Block Diwas events.
The completion of the construction of the plastic waste management plant in Jamshedpur and Adityapur was requested to be done on time.
Sharma emphasized the importance of raising public awareness regarding open defecation and the proper disposal of waste.
