Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited (Narayana Health), now a licensed standalone health insurer, is set to revolutionize healthcare access in India, leveraging AI and technology.

JAMSHEDPUR – Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited, a subsidiary of Narayana Health Insurance Limited, has achieved a significant milestone by receiving a license to operate as a standalone health insurance company.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) granted this license, marking a notable achievement in the health insurance sector.

Dr. Devi Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Narayana Hrudayalaya and Chairman of Narayana Health Insurance, expressed gratitude to Debashish Panda, Chairman of IRDAI, for their support in this rapid approval process.

This development is seen as a testament to the government’s commitment to expanding insurance access nationwide.

Narayana Health’s vision, "Insurance for All" by 2047, aims to play a pivotal role in transforming healthcare accessibility.

The company plans to simplify health insurance with comprehensive, easy-to-understand policies.

These efforts will be bolstered by Narayana Health’s investment in technology and AI, particularly through Varsha, to create personalized care plans and manage risks effectively.

Viren Shetty, Vice Chairman of Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited and Director of Narayana Health Insurance, emphasized the significance of this license in evolving Narayana Health from a hospital operator to an integrated care provider.

The company’s goal is to offer a seamless healthcare experience and a full range of health insurance products and services, especially to underprivileged sections of society.
