Tata Steel Hosts Inter-Divisional Carrom Tournament For Men
Wire Division Clinches Victory In Two-Day Competition At JRD Tata Sports Complex
Event sees 110 participants from 19 company units showcasing their carrom skills.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department successfully organized an Inter-Divisional Carrom Tournament for men on July 2-3 at the JFC Media Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Vibhuti Dhand Adesara, Head of Tata Steel Training Centres and Academies, attended as the Chief Guest.
"This tournament exemplifies our commitment to promoting sports and fostering camaraderie among employees," Adesara stated during the event.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from 110 players representing 19 Tata Steel units.
Wire Division emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional skills throughout the tournament.
OMQ Division secured the runner-up position, while West Bokaro Division claimed the second runner-up spot.
"The level of competition and sportsmanship displayed was truly impressive," remarked one of the organizers.
To ensure fair play, renowned technical officials Tilak Ram, Jaswant Sahoo, and Ajay Hembram oversaw the matches.
The tournament provided a platform for employees to showcase their carrom talents and engage in healthy competition.
This event underscores Tata Steel’s ongoing efforts to promote sports and recreational activities among its workforce.
