Tatanagar: SER Launches Exam Special Trains for Students
Railway Eases Travel Woes for Competitive Exam Aspirants
South Eastern Railway introduces special trains to transport students to exam centers, addressing a crucial need for reliable transportation.
JAMSHEDPUR – South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced the operation of Examination Special Trains to facilitate students traveling for competitive exams in Patna and other major cities.
The initiative aims to provide convenient and reliable transportation for students heading to examination centers.
Two special train routes have been introduced: Ranchi-Patna-Ranchi and Tatanagar-Patna-Tatanagar.
Train No. 08639 will depart from Ranchi on June 22, 2024, at 14:10 hrs, arriving in Patna at 23:00 hrs the same day.
The Tatanagar-Patna train (No. 08109) leaves at 16:15 hrs on June 22, reaching Patna at 03:00 hrs the next morning.
Both routes offer return journeys, with the Patna-Ranchi train departing on June 23 at 21:00 hrs.
The trains will make strategic stops, including Muri and Bokaro Steel City for the Ranchi route, and Chandil and Purulia for the Tatanagar service.
Priya Singh, an engineering aspirant, expressed relief, saying, "The special train ensures I can reach my exam center without the stress of uncertain schedules."
SER has deployed additional staff and enhanced security measures to ensure smooth operations.
Officials are considering similar special trains for future exam periods based on public response.
This initiative highlights SER’s commitment to supporting students’ academic aspirations through improved travel options.
