Jharkhand Cabinet’s decision to approve a caste-based survey has been welcomed by Health Minister Banna Gupta.
Health Minister and Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta has expressed his approval of the Jharkhand Cabinet’s decision to approve a caste-based survey in the state.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand Health Minister and MLA of Jamshedpur West Constituency, Banna Gupta, has expressed happiness over the Jharkhand Cabinet’s recent decision to approve a caste-based survey.
In a statement, Gupta emphasized the Congress party’s long-standing support for a caste census.
He remarked, "The Congress party has always advocated for a caste census. Last year, during an OBC Morcha event, I promised my community members that I would strive to implement a caste survey in Jharkhand. Today, the cabinet has approved it."
Gupta highlighted the promise made by Rahul Gandhi, stating, "Rahul Gandhi ji had also promised that the more the participation, the more the share. It is our hope and belief that after this survey, every class and community will receive their rights and entitlements. The Congress party has fulfilled its electoral promise."
The approval of the caste-based survey is seen as a significant step towards ensuring social justice and equitable distribution of resources in the state.
