Adityapur Police Take B Devi into Custody Following Violent Incident

The Adityapur police in Saraikela Kharsawan have arrested B Devi in connection with the murder of Kuldeep Thakur, which occurred in Satbohni Jamalpur last Sunday.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Adityapur police in Saraikela Kharsawan have taken B Devi into custody in connection with the murder of Kuldeep Thakur, which took place in Satbohni Jamalpur under the Adityapur police station area last Sunday.

Kuldeep Thakur’s mother, Anita Devi, filed a complaint leading to the registration of an FIR against three named individuals and others.

According to the complaint, Anita Devi accused Amarjit Singh, Raja Singh, and their mother B Devi, among others, of surrounding and killing her son.

Police station in-charge Nitin Kumar Singh stated that efforts are underway to arrest the remaining accused soon.

The incident stemmed from a disapproved relationship between the deceased, Kuldeep Thakur, and B Singh’s daughter.

Tensions had been high between the two families due to the affair.

On Sunday, the girl’s family allegedly invited Kuldeep’s family to their home for discussions.

However, as soon as Kuldeep’s family arrived, they were ambushed according to a pre-planned attack.

B Devi, along with her sons Amarjit Singh and Raja Singh, allegedly attacked Kuldeep and his family members with sticks and knives.

Kuldeep Thakur sustained fatal knife injuries and succumbed to his wounds, while his maternal uncle Anil Thakur and his mother Anita Devi were severely injured.

Following the incident, the victims were rushed to the hospital where Kuldeep was declared dead at TMH.

All the accused fled the scene after the attack.

B Devi has been sent to judicial custody, and the police continue to search for the other suspects involved in the crime.
