Congress in Jharkhand to analyze Lok Sabha election results, focusing on wins and losses ahead of upcoming assembly elections.
RANCHI – The Jharkhand Congress will hold a review meeting on June 12 at Sangam Garden in Morabadi, Ranchi, to discuss the outcomes of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state ministers, MLAs, and other officials will be present to analyze the victories and defeats.
In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the Congress secured two seats in Jharkhand, winning in the Lohardaga and Khunti constituencies.
Out of seven contested seats, Congress won two, while facing defeat in five.
The India alliance, which includes Congress and other parties, won a total of five seats in Jharkhand, with Congress candidates running in seven constituencies and alliance partners in the rest.
Jharkhand Pradesh Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti expressed that the party had hoped for better results but fell short of expectations.
With assembly elections approaching at the end of this year, the review of the Lok Sabha election results is deemed crucial.
As directed by State Congress President Rajesh Thakur, an extended meeting of the State Congress Committee will take place at Sangam Garden in Morhabadi on June 12 from 11:30 am.
