Dr. SP Foundation Holds Event to Raise Awareness Against Tobacco Use

World No Tobacco Day was observed by Dr. SP Foundation at United Homeo Hall office in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. SP Foundation marked World No Tobacco Day with an event at United Homeo Hall office in Bistupur, highlighting the dangers of tobacco consumption.

Dr. Amar Kumar Chatterjee delivered the welcome speech.

Dr. TK Chatterjee, the main speaker, emphasized that the event is part of a global campaign against tobacco.

He stated that the consumption of intoxicants like tobacco, khaini, cigarettes, and ganja leads to cancer and other severe health issues, making death inevitable.

The event underscored the alarming statistics, with 8 million people worldwide and 1.35 million people in India dying annually due to tobacco use.

Participants pledged to quit tobacco and raise awareness about its dangers.

Dr. S Dalal, Priyanka Pal, Amir, Jyoti Singh, Priya Kumari Gupta, Dr. RN Dutta, and other members were present at the event.
