JAMSHEDPUR – Radhakrishna Kishore takes helm of Jharkhand’s finances, pledging transparency and development-focused governance.
Finance Minister Kishore began his first day with enthusiasm.
Principal Secretary Kumar extended a cordial welcome to him.
Meanwhile, department officials gathered for a strategic planning session.
“Our priority is strengthening Jharkhand’s economic foundation,” stated a senior finance official.
Moreover, Kishore brings 15 years of public service experience.
The minister previously served as a three-term MLA.
In addition, he has championed several rural development initiatives.
Furthermore, Jharkhand’s current fiscal deficit stands at 3.5% of GSDP.
The state’s annual budget reached Rs 1.16 lakh crore.
However, the finance department faces challenges in revenue generation.
Besides, Kishore aims to boost infrastructure investments.
“We need innovative solutions for resource mobilization,” remarked a department insider.
On the other hand, the state’s tax collection improved recently.
The GST revenue showed 15% growth last quarter.
