Strike Halts Operations at Flipkart’s Golmuri Office Over Parcel Rate Reduction

Delivery Boys Protest Against Reduced Parcel Rates, Causing Delivery Delays

Delivery boys working at Flipkart’s Golmuri office in Jamshedpur have gone on strike, bringing all operations to a standstill.

JAMSHEDPUR – Delivery boys at Flipkart’s Golmuri office have gone on strike after a reduction in their parcel rates.

The strike has caused all work to come to a halt, leaving goods undelivered and causing inconvenience to many customers.

The delivery boys stated that the rates for delivering parcels have been reduced, which prompted them to strike.

Currently, all the parcels brought to the Flipkart office are lying there, leading to significant delays in deliveries.

One delivery boy explained that the rate for multiple parcels has been decreased.

They previously received ₹14 for one parcel.

However, if a delivery boy takes five parcels, he now gets ₹15 for the first parcel and half the amount, ₹7.50, for each of the remaining parcels.

This rate has been implemented in every city, but the delivery boys in Jamshedpur are refusing to accept it.

Another delivery boy, who has been in the job for two years, mentioned that the parcel delivery rate has never been increased, and now there are talks of reducing it further.

The strike has highlighted the dissatisfaction among delivery boys regarding their payment structure.

The protest continues as the delivery boys demand a fair rate for their services.
