JAMSHEDPUR – The health of workers protesting for compensation and other demands outside RD Rubber Reclaim Limited in Gamharia, Adityapur, has started to decline as they endure strong sunlight and excessive heat.
The strike, which began on May 20, has seen workers demonstrating on carpets spread on the road.
Several workers have suffered health issues due to the harsh conditions.
On-site reports indicate that other protesters provided water to those affected.
Among the workers whose health has deteriorated are Nagendra Singh, Shambhu Khelari, and Chhotu Ram Mahato.
It was noted that they lack transportation to take them to the hospital.
Despite the ongoing strike day and night, the factory management has not yet reached out to address their concerns.
The situation underscores the dire conditions faced by the striking workers and the urgent need for intervention.
