XLRI, Tata Steel Foundation Launch First Online PGCCSR Course

XLRI Joins Hands with Tata Steel Foundation for One-Year Online PG Certificate in CSR & Social Impact

New collaboration aims to create a pool of skilled professionals in the CSR sector, offering a year-long online Post Graduate Certificate Course on Corporate Social Responsibility.

JAMSHEDPUR – Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) and Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch India’s first-ever online Post Graduate Certificate Course on Corporate Social Responsibility (PGCCSR).

The historic MoU was signed by Fr. S George, Director of XLRI, and Sourav Roy, CEO of Tata Steel Foundation, at the XLRI campus in Jamshedpur. Mr Chanakya Chaudhary, Director of Tata Steel Foundation, was also present during the event.

Under the agreement, XLRI and TSF will collaboratively develop a one-year, academically rigorous, and globally recognized online program.

The program aims to empower professionals with the skills and knowledge essential for excelling in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and social-impact management arena, both in India and globally.

The content and processes of the program are being co-developed by both entities to ensure its effective delivery.

The program will also include a wide array of materials, such as skill sets, case studies, research papers, and white papers.

Notably, the course has received the nod of approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Fr. S George said, "XLRI always believes in taking steps for the greater good. Through this program, we will create synergies between Tata Steel Foundation’s expertise and XLRI’s academic prowess to create empathetic social impact leaders."

On the other hand, Sourav Roy mentioned, "The PGCCSR course accentuates our intention to create a platform for wisdom arising out of life experiences, not just classrooms. We value this collaboration with XLRI as a milestone of enriching knowledge."

Both organizations have committed to mutually agreed terms to ensure that the program continues to evolve through relevant inputs at both programmatic and procedural levels.
