Security Guard Brijbihari Singh Arrested for Killing Alleged Thief; Two Suspects in Loader Driver’s Murder Also Detained

The Adityapur police in Seraikela district have arrested security personnel Brijbihari Singh, accused of murdering alleged thief Govinda Kalindi alias Gogo in Tata Steel’s dumping yard on May 14. Singh has been sent to judicial custody following a police investigation.

ADITYAPUR – The Adityapur police have arrested Brijbihari Singh, a security guard, in connection with the murder of alleged thief Govinda Kalindi alias Gogo in Tata Steel’s dumping yard on May 14.

The police and forensic investigations confirmed that Kalindi died from a bullet fired by Singh, leading to Singh’s arrest and subsequent judicial custody.

Additionally, the police arrested two suspects, Badal Gop (22) and Vishwas Mukhi alias Boka (19), in the murder case of payloader driver Abhay Singh. Both were sent to judicial custody on Sunday.

Badal Gop, a known criminal with three prior incarcerations, and Vishwas Mukhi were apprehended from Baganpada.

According to police reports, seven individuals are implicated in the driver murder case. Two have been arrested, while the search for the remaining five continues.

Police station in-charge Nitin Kumar Singh stated that Govinda Kalindi, who was killed by the security guard, had entered the dumping yard with the other criminals to avenge his death.

The group beat loader driver Abhay Singh to death.

The wife of the payloader driver has filed an FIR against an unknown person regarding the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police expect to arrest all the accused soon.

The case relating to two deaths in the dumping yard had created a sensation in the area and underscored the highly security situation in the dumping yard and nearby areas.
