Two Held With Two Stolen Dio Scooters in Late-Night Operation

JAMSHEDPUR – Police recovered two stolen Honda Dio scooters during a late-night checking drive in the Kadma area and arrested two young suspects linked to the thefts.

The case began after a written complaint was submitted by Abhishek Prasad on November 26. He reported that unknown thieves had taken his Honda Dio bearing number JH05CB9662. However, officers intensified night checks a day later.
Meanwhile, the Kadma patrol team stopped two men on the KadmaSonari link road around 11 p.m.

The police found the stolen scooter with them. Moreover, the two suspects confirmed involvement during questioning.
On the other hand, they also revealed another theft involving a red-white Honda Dio registered as JH05BT6081.

Police, on receiving this information, searched the Farm Area. They then recovered the second scooter from the spot.
Besides, both accused were taken into custody and later sent to judicial remand.

The arrested men were identified as Hani Thakur, aged about 26, from Shastrinagar Block-4 under Kadma jurisdiction, and Sunny Ram, aged about 23, from Harijan Basti under Bistupur police limits.

Recovered items included:

  • Honda Dio (black-grey) JH05CB9662
  • Honda Dio (red-white) JH05BT6081

In addition, earlier theft-related actions in the locality included cases like the Kadma robbery and another auto theft gang case.
Furthermore, prior incidents such as a Kadma accident and arrests in a murder case have kept the region under close police watch.
