Event Aims to Boost Voter Turnout, Unveils Jamshedpur’s Election Song

The voter awareness event at PM Mall in Jamshedpur attracted around 5000 citizens, highlighting the importance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

JAMSHEDPUR – The event, organized to increase voter participation, saw active involvement from officials and enthusiastic citizens.

District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, Expenditure Observer Ish Gupta, Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, and trainee IAS officers led the initiative.

A key highlight was the launch of Jamshedpur’s election song, ‘Desh Yeh Aage Badhega,’ which inspired the crowd.

The event’s theme, ‘Vote Karega Jamshedpur, 25 May 2024,’ resonated strongly, particularly with young participants.

They performed energetic dances and pledged to vote on election day.

The District Election Officer emphasized the need to bridge the voter turnout gap between urban and rural areas.

An engaging quiz on election topics showcased the participants’ high level of awareness.

The event also featured performances set to popular songs, including an adapted version of ‘Chak De India.’

The atmosphere was electric, with participants of all ages dancing and singing along.

District Election Officer Ananya Mittal addressed the crowd, calling for increased voter participation this year.

He urged the youth to bring their family members to vote, stressing the urgency of participation.

The event’s success was supported by Young Indians volunteers, mall management, and social media influencers.

Their contributions were crucial in organizing and promoting the program, drawing a large crowd.

As Jamshedpur prepares for the Lok Sabha elections on May 25, 2024, the event signifies a positive shift towards higher voter turnout.

The enthusiastic participation and commitment of the citizens promise a vibrant and democratic election process.
