Massive Turnout as Workers March in Jamshedpur to Celebrate Labor Day

In a significant show of solidarity, a large rally was conducted in Jamshedpur on Labor Day, spearheaded by prominent labor leader Raghunath Pandey. The procession began at Sakchi Ravindra Bhawan and concluded at the statue of Netaji Subhash Bose in Mango Garden, where participants paid homage.

JAMSHEDPUR – Raghunath Pandey led a significant rally through Jamshedpur on Labor Day, emphasizing the historical and ongoing challenges faced by workers.

The rally attracted a considerable number of participants, demonstrating strong community support.

At Mango Garden, the assembly honored the legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, with Pandey and other attendees garlanding his statue.

During his address, Pandey discussed the global significance of May 1st, Labor Day, as a symbol of workers’ rights and historical struggles for freedom from oppression.

He voiced concerns about the vulnerability of workers under new labor legislation, highlighting increased exploitation and likening their status to that of bonded laborers.

Pandey pledged to intensify the battle for workers’ rights post-election, due to restrictions imposed by the Model Election Code currently in effect.

Noteworthy figures and many women, including prominent local leaders and union representatives, were present at the event, underscoring the widespread support for the cause.
