Jitendra Singh Exits Congress to Run as Independent in Lok Sabha Elections

Former Congress Leader Jitendra Singh Announces Independent Candidacy in Sakchi

During a recent press event in Sakchi, Jitendra Singh revealed his resignation from Congress and his plans to compete in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections independently.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant political shift, Jitendra Singh, previously a vice president within the Congress district leadership, has resigned from his roles within the party.

At a Sakchi press conference, he declared his candidacy for the Lok Sabha elections as an independent, distancing himself from his long-time affiliation with Congress.

Singh attributed his resignation to the party’s hesitancy in nominating a candidate, which he believes has caused public distrust and accusations of internal collusion.

He pledged to focus on local issues such as infrastructure development and traffic management, highlighting the need for an airport in non-company regions.

After three and a half decades with Congress, Singh expressed frustration over being repeatedly passed over for election candidacy, prompting his decision to pursue an independent path.

He also criticized current MP Bidyut Baran Mahato’s performance, accusing him of inactivity during his term.

Notable attendees at the conference included INTUC Vice President Laddan Khan, along with Sunil Rajak and Abul Kalam, marking a significant moment of support for Singh’s new political journey.
