Big Weather Alert In Jharkhand: Winds Will Blow At A Speed Of 75 Km In Many Districts Including East-West Singhbhum, Warning Of Heavy Rain And Thunderstorms.

Jamshedpur/Ranchi: People have got relief from the scorching heat in Jharkhand, but the Meteorological Department has issued a major alert for the next 48 hours. According to Weather Center Ranchi, there is a possibility of strong storm, thunderstorm and heavy rain in many districts of the state on June 2 and 3. The weather may remain quite severe especially in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Ranchi, Gumla, Simdega and Khunti districts. Strong winds at a speed of 70 to 75 kilometers per hour are expected in these areas.

Meteorologists have advised people to remain alert and stay in safe places during bad weather. Apart from affecting life due to strong winds and lightning, there is also a fear of loss.

The weather remained relatively pleasant across the state during the last 24 hours. Maximum temperatures in most of the districts were recorded below normal, providing relief to people from the scorching heat and heat wave. However, Daltonganj of Palamu division remained the hottest place in the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, the month of June has started with the movement of clouds and cold winds. However, the weather patterns may remain changeable in the coming days. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in many parts of Southern, Central and North-Eastern Jharkhand.

Meteorological Department issued advice to take caution

Meteorologists have warned that incidents of lightning may also occur during thunderstorms. In such a situation, farmers, laborers, people engaged in construction work and people working in open places have been advised to take special caution. People have been asked to avoid standing in fields, open fields, under trees and around electric poles during rain and strong winds.

The department has also advised passengers and drivers to exercise caution. Heavy rain and dusty winds may reduce visibility, increasing the risk of road accidents. People have been appealed to avoid unnecessary travel in case of bad weather and keep an eye on the latest updates issued by the Meteorological Department.
