RANCHI – The political landscape of Gandey is set for a significant development as Kalpana Soren steps into the electoral arena, representing JMM in the forthcoming by-election.

Kalpana Soren is scheduled to file her nomination for the Gandey constituency on April 29.

Voters in Gandey will cast their ballots on May 20, deciding who will fill the vacancy.

Recently active in politics, Kalpana Soren has been diligently campaigning, engaging in back-to-back meetings with constituents.

The seat for the Gandey constituency became vacant following the resignation of JMM MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed, as officially acknowledged by the Assembly Secretariat on December 31, 2023.
