RANCHI – Kalpana Murmu Soren, wife of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has praised a young Jharkhandi scholar for completing his studies abroad under a prestigious scholarship.
She expressed her congratulations through her social media, celebrating the resilience and determination of people from Jharkhand, stating, "No matter what calamity comes, a Jharkhandi makes his own path and reaches his destination, for a Jharkhandi has never learned to bow down."
The scholar, Sanjay, benefited from the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship Scheme, which supports educational opportunities abroad for tribal, Dalit, backward class, and minority youth.
Kalpana shared that she plans to discuss Sanjay’s accomplishment with her husband, Hemant Soren, during her next visit with him in jail. She noted that Hemant would be thrilled to hear about Sanjay’s success, reflecting on how he often spoke of the transformative impact such international exposure could have on the youth and their communities.
She emphasized that the educational achievements of these scholars are expected to bring knowledge and development back to their families, villages, society, and the nation.
In her message, Kalpana expressed confidence that Sanjay and his peers will continue to inspire many more youths to pursue their dreams under the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda and Chevening-Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarships.
