Jamshedpur Youths Excel in UPSC Civil Services Exam, Swati Sharma Gets 17th Rank
Local Students Achieve Top Ranks in National Examination, Set to Serve as Civil Servants
Jamshedpur’s youth have once again brought laurels to the city with their outstanding performance in the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination, securing notable ranks and preparing to enter various administrative roles.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur’s academic environment continues to yield remarkable success stories, with several local students excelling in the UPSC Civil Services Exam.
Swati Sharma, a product of Tagore Academy and a resident of the city, achieved the impressive 17th rank.
Swati, who has a background in the armed forces through her family, has been an excellent student throughout her academic career.
Her educational journey from Army Secondary School to an MA at Jamshedpur Women’s College paved her way to become an IAS officer.

Harshit Verma, another local achiever, secured the 272nd rank.
Originally from Kadma and son of a Tata Steel employee, Harshit’s academic path took him from B.I.T Mesra to a career in engineering in Bangalore before his UPSC success.
He is now set to embark on a career as an IPS officer.
Ritwik Verma, a former student of Loyola School, also made his mark by securing the 520th rank.
After studying Geography at Delhi University, Ritwik’s determination led him to crack the UPSC exam, highlighting his strong academic foundation and perseverance.
The achievements of Swati, Harshit, and Ritwik not only reflect their personal dedication but also the high standards of education and mentorship in Jamshedpur.
