JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur witnessed a fervent celebration of Chaiti Navratri, marking a significant spiritual high in the region with deep-rooted traditions of Shakti worship.

The event was particularly notable in Sonari, where local organizations including Budhram Mohalla ‘Upkar Sangh’ and others organized a special Jwanra Puja. Amarpreet Singh Kale, former BJP state spokesperson and founder of Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh, was among the key attendees.

He expressed his deep reverence by participating in the rituals and acknowledging the rich cultural tapestry that characterizes this festival.

During the celebrations, Kale highlighted the unique tradition of Jwanra, a symbol of Maa Durga, which is ceremoniously sown and worshipped from the onset till the end of Navratri.

This tradition, along with the establishment of Ghat and Manokamna Mahajyoti Kalash in temples and pandals, illustrates the diverse yet unified approach to celebrating the divine feminine.

A considerable gathering, including women, elders, and youth, joined the celebrations, underscoring the community’s collective spirit and devotion. The event served as a platform not only for spiritual engagement but also for social cohesion, celebrating shared traditions and blessings.

"It’s inspiring to see such a strong turnout and participation at the Navratri celebrations," said a local official. "This festival not only honors our divine traditions but also strengthens our community bonds."

"Each year, the way our community comes together to observe these sacred traditions is truly uplifting," commented a participant at the event. "It’s a profound experience that reinforces our cultural heritage and personal faith."
