MEDININAGAR – Sadar SDO Sulochna Meena conducted a surprise raid on Tuesday evening, seizing illegal firecrackers worth Rs 2 lakh from a shop.
The enforcement action targeted unauthorized firecracker sales. The raid occurred at a shop near Baldev Sao Chowk.
Moreover, officials discovered multiple shops operating under a single license. The shops belonged to sons of an original license holder.
Previous Warnings Ignored
The administration had issued strict warnings earlier. SDO Meena had conducted a meeting with shopkeepers months ago.
However, traders continued illegal operations secretly. The shop owner, Mohammad Nasim, received a stern warning.
“Operating without a proper license violates the Arms Act,” stated a senior administrative official.
Background of Operations
The raid followed confidential information about illegal shops. Several outlets were functioning near Baldev Sao Chowk.
Furthermore, the original license was issued years ago. Only one trader had received official permission.
In addition, the administration had prohibited unlicensed operations. The shopkeepers allegedly ignored these directives.
Besides, the SDO conducted the operation systematically. The action aimed to curb unauthorized firecracker trade.
“We received information about multiple violations,” revealed a reliable source from the administration.
