Celebrating Icons: Ambedkar and Sanskrityayan’s Birth Anniversaries at Tulsi Bhavan
Jamshedpur Honors Literary and Cultural Pioneers
A vibrant cultural event marked the joint birth anniversaries of Bharatratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Rahul Sanskrityayan at Tulsi Bhavan, showcasing a rich tapestry of poetic expressions from across the nation.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Sahitya Samiti of Tulsi Bhavan commemorated the birth anniversaries of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Rahul Sankrityayan with a Multilingual Poetry Seminar held in the Prayag room of the institute.
The event was presided over by Mr. Subhash Chandra Munka and efficiently conducted by Mrs. Madhavi Upadhyay.
Dr. Prosenjit Tiwari, the Honorary General Secretary, delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations.
Mrs. Reena Sinha gracefully concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
The session began with participants offering floral tributes to the esteemed litterateurs, with Dweep Prajwal Kar joining in the homage.
Dr. Tiwari then spoke in detail about Dr. Ambedkar’s impactful life and contributions, highlighting his role in addressing social inequalities and fortifying India’s constitutional foundation.
The literary introductions were orchestrated by Brajendranath Mishra and Suresh Chandra Jha, followed by a melodious Saraswati Vandana sung by Shri Divyendu Tripathi.
The poetry recital featured 60 city writers who presented works in various languages, including Bhojpuri, Maithili, Telugu, Angika, English, Rajasthani, Hindi, Santhali, Chhota Nagpuri, Sanskrit, Bengali, and Punjabi.
Notable participants included Harihar Rai Chauhan, Sangeeta Mishra, Chandan Prajapati, Rajendra Sah ‘Raj’, and many others, enriching the event with their diverse linguistic and cultural perspectives.
The presence of Tulsi Bhavan Vice President Shri Ram Nandan Prasad and other dignitaries such as Dr. Ajay Kumar Ojha and Prasanna Vadan Mehta added further prestige to the gathering.
This assembly not only celebrated the historical figures but also highlighted the rich linguistic diversity and cultural unity of India.
