Sahitya Samiti, Tulsi Bhawan Celebrates Balkrishna Bhatt’s Birth Anniversary and ‘Kavya Kalash’

28 Poets Participate in Monthly Literary Event

Sahitya Samiti, Tulsi Bhawan, held its monthly ‘Kavya Kalash’ and commemorated the birth anniversary of Balkrishna Bhatt with poetry recitations and tributes.

JAMSHEDPUR – Sahitya Samiti, Tulsi Bhawan organized the monthly ‘Kavya Kalash’ and birth anniversary program of litterateur Balkrishna Bhatt in the Prayag room of the institute.

The event was presided over by the institute’s president, Subhash Chandra Munka, and organizing committee member, Reena Sinha ‘Saloni.

Tulsi Bhawan’s honorary general secretary, Dr. Prasenjit Tiwari, delivered the welcome address, while the vote of thanks was given by committee member, Poonam Mahanand.

The program began with the lighting of lamps and flower offerings.

Saraswati Vandana was performed by Veena Pandey Bharti, followed by a presentation of Balkrishna Bhatt’s literary biography by Brajendranath Mishra.

In the subsequent session, 28 prominent poets from the city recited their own poems under ‘Kavya Kalash’.

Notable poets included Dr. Ragini Bhushan, Jayshree Shiv Kumar, Vasant Jamshedpuri, Neeta Sagar Chaudhary, Veena Kumari Nandini, Dr. Yamuna Tiwari ‘Vyathit’, Anita Nidhi, Madhuri Mishra, Veena Pandey ‘Bharti’, Poonam Mahanand, Reena Sinha ‘Saloni’, Balbinder Singh, Suresh Chandra Jha, Bhanjdev Devendra Kumar ‘Vyathit’, Brajendra Nath Mishra, Kailash Nath Sharma ‘Gazipuri’, Dr. Sanjay Pathak ‘Sanehi’, Chanda Kumari, Sheshnath Singh ‘Sharad’, Dr. Uday Pratap Hayat, Anurag Agnihotri, Usha Jha, Shiv Kumar, and Vimal Kishore Vimal.

The presence of the institute’s trustee Arun Kumar Tiwari, vice-president Ramanandan Prasad, executive member Prasanna Vadan Mehta, and Sahitya Samiti’s secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar Ojha was commendable.

The program concluded with a tribute to the late former executive president of Sahitya Samiti, Shriram Pandey ‘Bhargava’.

A floral tribute was offered, and two minutes of silence were observed for his eternal peace.
