JAMSHEDPUR – MP ShBidyut Baran Mahato visited Bistupur police station to gather details about a recent conflict where traders were subjected to a lathi charge by JNAC employees.
After speaking with the affected businessmen, MP Mahato criticized the use of force and highlighted the severity of the situation.
He described the incident as "extremely unfortunate and highly condemnable," stressing that the traders were innocent and unarmed.
MP Mahato promptly contacted the Senior Superintendent of Police, advocating for the registration of an FIR against the involved employees and swift disciplinary action.
He received assurances from the Senior Superintendent that appropriate measures would be taken against the perpetrators.
Additionally, MP Mahato has called for an impartial investigation into the incident, involving the Deputy Commissioner to ensure justice is served.
The incident, reportedly initiated under the guise of removing encroachments, has raised significant concerns about the conduct and discipline of JNAC employees.
Prominent local political figures, including BJP District President Sudhanshu Ojha and others, supported MP Mahato during his visit to the police station, indicating broad political backing for the traders.
