Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to Contest in 1 Lok Sabha and 16 Assembly Seats
JMM reveals candidates for one Lok Sabha and 16 assembly constituencies in Odisha, with new joiners from BJD.
RANCHI – The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Odisha Pradesh Committee has announced its intention to contest in the upcoming elections for one Lok Sabha and 16 assembly seats, as declared in a press conference held in Rairangpur, Odisha.
Jharkhand minister and Chaibasa MLA, Deepak Biruwa, unveiled the list, marking the occasion with the joining of Kisto Chandra Das and former OAS officer Shibo Singh to JMM from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), along with their supporters.
The press conference was led by the Odisha state president of JMM, Anjani Soren, sister of the former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and managed by state general secretary Dubraj Nag.
JMM aims to contest from the Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha constituency and several assembly constituencies across Odisha, including Saraskana, Rairangpur, and Bangriposi in Mayurbhanj district, among others.
This strategic move indicates JMM’s effort to expand its influence in Odisha, targeting key districts such as Sundergarh, Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, and Keonjhar, through its electoral campaign.
