Thirty officers engaged in hands-on simulations in a state-of-the-art skills lab, where four artificial crime scenes were set up to replicate real-world scenarios.

Prominent Participation and Insights

Mr. Rishabh Trivedi, a 2022 IPS officer, actively participated in the sessions, emphasizing the crucial link between forensic science and law enforcement. Jamshedpur’s SP-City, Mr. Kumar Shivashish, highlighted the significance of accurate investigations for justice during the closing ceremony.

Faculty and Methodology

Under the guidance of Dean Dr. Pradeep Kumar, forensic experts Vijay Kautilya, Dr. Jyotish Guriya, and Dr. Didipya Bhargav led the training. They combined theoretical knowledge with practical approaches, ensuring valuable insights for participants.

Emphasis on Firearm Analysis

A critical focus was on firearm injuries, enabling officers to interpret ballistic evidence and reconstruct crime scenarios accurately. Participants appreciated the workshop’s interactive format and real-world applications.

MTMC’s Role in Forensic Advancement

The initiative underscored MTMC’s commitment to fostering collaboration between forensic science and law enforcement agencies. By equipping police with advanced skills, the workshop aims to enhance criminal justice outcomes and community safety.
