Cultural Organization Honors Dawn of Vikram Samvat 2081

The Sanskar Bharti unit in Jamshedpur celebrated the start of Sanatan Navvarsh Pratipada by performing traditional rituals on the banks of the Swarn Rekha and Kharkai Sangam, ushering in Vikram Samvat 2081 with reverence and communal harmony.

JAMSHEDPUR – On the morning of April 9th, the Sanskar Bharti organization in Jamshedpur, known for its commitment to literature, art, and theatre, gathered at the confluence of the Swarn Rekha and Kharkai rivers to welcome the Hindu New Year, Vikram Samvat 2081.

In a serene ceremony filled with the vibrancy of tradition, members conducted flag worship and lamp aarti, culminating in the offering of Arghya to the rising sun, symbolizing the dawn of new beginnings and the purification of the soul.

The event featured a Havan, led by the organization’s president, Dr. Ragini Bhushan, where Vedic chants filled the air, reinforcing the cultural and spiritual significance of the occasion.

Participants, including locals and members, engaged in the communal spirit by applying tilak and exchanging sweets, extending heartfelt wishes for prosperity and happiness in the New Year.

Notable attendees included Jharkhand state patron Mr. Kanhaiyalal Agarwal, Jamshedpur unit patron Dr. Juhi Pradaita, treasurer Mrs. Aruna Jha, and other distinguished members, all contributing to the ceremony’s solemnity and collective joy.

The event, coordinated by Kolhan Department Head Shri Vijay Bhushan, epitomized the essence of community and cultural fidelity, marking a moment of collective reflection and aspiration at the outset of Vikram Samvat 2081.

Sanskar Bharti’s New Year celebration not only honored the cyclical nature of time according to the Hindu calendar but also served as a reminder of the enduring values that guide humanity towards unity, peace, and artistic expression.
