Tragic road accident in Seraikela claims one life, another critically injured
Locals express anger over delay in arrival of JRDCL ambulance
A young man lost his life, and another was seriously injured when an uncontrolled highway vehicle rammed into their motorcycle near Ghaghi Mor in the Seraikela police station area on Friday.
SERAIKELA – The incident occurred on the same day that the traffic police launched a campaign against vehicles parked on roadsides.
The victims, 20-year-old Sujay Mahato and 30-year-old Pradeep Mahato, both residents of Narayanpur, were returning from Seraikela after completing some work when the accident took place.
Upon receiving information, the Seraikela police station personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, sending them to Sadar Hospital by ambulance.
Due to the critical nature of their injuries, both were later referred to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur.
Tragically, Pradeep Mahato succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, while Sujay Mahato remains in a critical condition.
Local residents expressed anger over the delay in the arrival of the JRDCL ambulance.
According to reports, the ambulance took an hour to reach the accident site after being informed, leaving the injured victims to suffer on the road under the scorching sun.
The incident has highlighted the need for better emergency response systems and road safety measures in the region.
The Seraikela police have launched an investigation into the accident and are working to identify the vehicle responsible for the tragic incident.
