JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to unveil an array of railway projects valued at over Rs 85,000 crore.

This monumental initiative will be orchestrated from the DFC’s Operation Control Centre in Ahmedabad.

Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, disclosed the details during a press conference.

The unveiling is scheduled for March 12.

It aims to propel India’s railway infrastructure into a new era of connectivity and efficiency.

The Kharagpur-Adityapur 3rd line is among the highlighted projects.

This inauguration is part of a larger vision to significantly expand India’s railway network.

Over the past 9 years, 25,871 route kilometers of track have been laid.

This represents a 75% increase in railway expansions compared to the previous decade.

The doubling of various sections like Pakra-Kurkura and Jaroli-Nayagarh underscores a strategic improvement in railway capacity.

Rail Coach Dining Experience

Rail Coach Restaurants will be introduced at major stations including Rourkela and Tatanagar.

This initiative aims to enhance passenger amenities while generating non-fare revenue and employment.

Medicinal Access and Employment

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras will be established at stations like Sini and Kharagpur.

The initiative focuses on providing affordable medicines, promoting wellness, and creating job opportunities.
