Two Trackmen Fatalities in Gomo Telo Railway Line Incident
A grave accident on the Gomo Telo railway line claims the lives of two patrolling trackmen near Dandudih.
RANCHI – In a tragic event near Dandudih, approximately one and a half kilometers from Telo station on the Gomo Telo railway line, two railway trackmen lost their lives while performing their duties.
The incident occurred between pole numbers C-8/5 and C-8/7, where the individuals were struck by the Islampur Hatia Express (train number 18623).
Telo station master promptly reported the accident to the gang man in-charge and the Government Railway Police (GRP).
Senior Section Engineer Railway Path Chandrapura, Ranjit Kumar, was quick to arrive at the scene to assess the situation.
He discovered the victims in a distressing state on the tracks around 3:45 am on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Mohan Kumar Sharma, aged 40, from Patgachia, Saharsa Bihar, and Rahul Kumar, aged 28, from Badhaiya, Arwal Bihar, had been on patrol since 10 pm the previous night.
Their untimely demise has been reported to the local administration, marking a somber moment for the railway community and their families.
