In a significant bureaucratic overhaul post-Champai Soren’s assumption as Chief Minister, the Jharkhand government has announced widespread transfers and new assignments for IAS officers.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ajay Kumar Singh, holding the position of Principal Secretary in the Rural Affairs Department, has been entrusted with additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare.

The reshuffle also includes Vandana Dadel’s transfer to the Principal Secretary of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department, while retaining her additional charge of the Women Child Development and Social Security Department.

Manjunath Bhajantri, previously the DC of Jamshedpur, will now serve as the Administrator of the Swarnarekha Project.

Ananya Mittal transitions from DC of West Singhbhum Chaibasa to DC of East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur).

Jadhav Vijaya Narayan Rao would take over from him as she has been made the new DC of Chaibasa.

Ramniwas Yadav, the former Sahebganj DC, steps into the role of Director of Jharkhand Higher Education.

Himanshu Mohan moves from his Latehar DC position to become the Director of Secondary Education, with Garima Singh taking over as the new DC of Latehar.

Land Reforms and Revenue Secretary Manish Ranjan will additionally manage the Building Construction Department.

Arwa Kamal, secretary in charge of the SC/ST/OBC welfare department, expands his portfolio to include the role of MD at the Greater Ranchi Development Agency (GRDA).

Pawan Kumar, Sanjiv Kumar Besra, Akansha Ranjan, Shashi Ranjan, Satyendra Kumar, Madhvi Mishra, Jadhav Vijaya Narayan Rao, and Vispute Srikant Yashwant have all received new assignments or additional charges, reflecting a broad administrative restructuring aimed at enhancing governance and service delivery across the state.
