Safety Belt Failure Leads to Tragedy in Jamshedpur
A construction worker’s death following a fall at a Jamshedpur site highlights urgent safety concerns.
JAMSHEDPUR – Ganesh succumbed to his injuries en route to TMH after a tragic fall caused by a safety belt malfunction.
Ramesh Karmakar, a colleague, reported the incident, stating that despite wearing safety equipment, Ganesh’s belt unexpectedly opened, leading to his fall onto a neighboring roof.
At the time of the accident, Ganesh, along with Ramesh Karmakar and Umesh, was engaged in painting work on the fourth floor of Kamal Sahu’s house in Sopodera, Jamshedpur.
The incident occurred in the Parsudih police station area, where the worker, originally from Dhalbhumgarh, was performing painting tasks.
Following the fall from the fourth floor, Ganesh’s coworkers quickly transported him to TMH, where he was pronounced deceased.
Ganesh Ri, known for his work as a painter, hailed from Dhalbhumgarh and was working at the residence of Kamal Sahu at the time of the accident.
