A man died after falling from a roof in Govindpur, Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, Sanjay Karmakar, a 28-year-old resident of Garudbasa in Govindpur, Jamshedpur, died after falling from a roof on Thursday morning.

The police will hand over the body to the family after conducting a postmortem.

The deceased’s brother, Raj Kumar Karmakar, reported that due to the heat, Sanjay had gone to sleep on the roof of a nearby friend’s house after having dinner.

They received the news that Sanjay had fallen from the roof.

In a rush, Raj Kumar took him to MGM Hospital late at night.

Unfortunately, Sanjay succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Thursday morning.

Raj Kumar explained that the house where his brother went to sleep was three stories high and lacked a railing on the roof, which caused Sanjay to fall while asleep.

He sustained severe head injuries.

Sanjay was the second among four brothers and worked as a laborer.

The police have been informed about the incident and will complete the postmortem before handing over the body to the family.
