23-Year-Old Woman Dies in MGM Hospital Following Poison Consumption
Budhni Singh, a 23-year-old resident of Edelbeda village, died after consuming poison and undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital.
JAMSHEDPUR – Budhni Singh, a 23-year-old married woman from Edelbeda village in Deoghar Panchayat, died after consuming poison and receiving treatment at MGM Hospital.
Police have sent her body for postmortem and are investigating the case.
According to reports, a quarrel broke out between Budhni and her husband, Jeevan Singh, on Saturday.
Around 11 AM, following the argument, Budhni ingested a poisonous substance, which led to a rapid deterioration in her condition.
Jeevan initially took her to Mango Ganga Narayan Hospital, but she was later referred to MGM Hospital.
At MGM Hospital, she succumbed to her condition around midnight during treatment.
Jeevan Singh mentioned that he married Budhni in 2019 and they have a four-year-old child.
He works as a laborer while Budhni often acted on her own accord.
The quarrel on Saturday started when Jeevan questioned Budhni about her whereabouts, leading to her consuming the poison in anger.
Locals reported that Budhni was taken to MGM Hospital after initial treatment at another hospital but did not survive.
"This tragic incident has left our family in deep shock," said Jeevan Singh.
