Jamshedpur Honors Freedom Fighters on Republic Day Eve
East Singhbhum Pays Tribute to Freedom Fighters and Their Families
On the eve of Republic Day, East Singhbhum district officials honor local freedom fighters and their dependents, following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s heroes, freedom fighters of East Singhbhum district and their dependents were honored on the eve of Republic Day.
This initiative, directed by District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, involved district officials visiting the homes of these esteemed individuals.
The honorees included Shri Akhauri Baleshwar Sinha, a renowned freedom fighter, and several dependents of late freedom fighters.
Mrs. Neelam Sharma, the widow of Late Ram Avtar Singh, was among those recognized for their family’s contributions to India’s independence struggle.
Saroj Devi, the widow of Late Prabhashchandra Thakur, also received honors, acknowledging the sacrifices made by her family.
Smt. C. Shubhalakshmi, whose late husband Sibhi Rao played a vital role in the freedom movement, was honored as well.
Additionally, Smt. Shailja Sinha, the widow of Self Krishnanand Sahay, was recognized for her husband’s service to the nation.
The Sub-Divisional Officer, Dhalbhum, DCLR Dhalbhum, Circle Officer Jamshedpur, and Special Officer JNAC were instrumental in this commemorative effort.
Their visits to each honoree’s home symbolized the district’s deep respect and gratitude towards those who fought for India’s freedom.
This gesture not only commemorates the sacrifices of the freedom fighters but also ensures that their legacy is remembered and cherished by future generations.
