Sunil Anand’s 37th Blood Donation Aids Cancer Patient
O Negative Hero: Sunil Anand’s 12th SDP Donation Saves Lives
In a significant act of kindness, Sunil Anand, associated with Anand Marg, has completed his 12th single donor platelets (SDP) donation, marking his 37th blood donation overall.
JAMSHEDPUR – Sunil Anand, a dedicated member of the Anand Marg organization, has once again demonstrated his commitment to saving lives by donating single donor platelets (SDP) for the 12th time.
This notable donation marks his 37th contribution of blood, with a focus on providing the rare O Negative type, which is in short supply.
The significance of his contribution is amplified by the limited number of donors available for this blood group.
Anand’s dedication to donating SDP came into the limelight following an urgent appeal from the blood bank, broadcasted through WhatsApp by the Anand Marg Universal Relief Team Global.
The call for donors was specifically for the rare O Negative group, a necessity for a cancer patient in critical need.
Responding to the appeal, numerous individuals associated with Anand Marg stepped forward, showcasing their readiness to help.
However, before proceeding with the donation, each potential donor underwent a thorough health checkup.
A key criterion for eligibility was a platelet count exceeding 1.5 lakh, ensuring the safety and efficacy of the donation.
Once cleared, the donation process, inclusive of both the medical examination and the actual platelet donation, took approximately one hour.
This act of benevolence by Sunil Anand and the coordinated efforts of Anand Marg have once again underscored the impact of community support in critical healthcare scenarios.
