Golf Scholarship Program for Underprivileged by JCAPCPL and Tata Steel

JCAPCPL, Tata Steel Foundation, and Jamshedpur Golf launch a Golf Scholarship and Incubation Program for caddies and children of "Masti Ki Pathshala."

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Golf, in collaboration with Tata Steel Foundation and JCAPCPL, has announced the "Golf Scholarship and Incubation Program."

This initiative was unveiled at the 73rd Steel City Golf-2024 event.

The program is a CSR initiative of JCAPCPL, aimed at developing grass-root level players through the technical expertise of Jamshedpur Golf and support from Tata Steel Foundation.

Training will be conducted at the Golmuri and Beldih Golf Courses, focusing on empowering caddies and children from "Masti Ki Pathshala" (MKP).

D.B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President of Tata Steel, Ujjal Chakraborti, Managing Director of JCAPCPL, and Sourav Roy, CEO of Tata Steel Foundation, are at the forefront of this project.

The initiative is aligned with Tata Steel’s vision of nurturing talent and community development, highlighting the transformative power of sports.

JCAPCPL’s involvement in this project signifies its commitment to creating a positive impact on society, particularly on aspiring golf talents.

Sourav Roy highlighted the program’s potential to include diverse communities in golf, especially the children of Masti Ki Pathshala.

Jamshedpur Golf expresses enthusiasm about discovering and nurturing golf talents from varied backgrounds.

This program represents a collaborative effort to foster positive change through sports and community engagement, strengthening corporate-community ties and paving the way for the future of aspiring golfers.

JCAPCPL, a joint venture between Tata Steel Limited and Nippon Steel Corporation, was established in 2011 to serve India’s demand for high-grade Automotive CR Steels.
